Marlies Schütz

Marlies Schütz works as a post-doctoral researcher at the Graz Schumpeter Centre for studies in economic and social development (GSC), University of Graz. She studied Economics at the University of Graz and her main research fields are the economics of technological change and knowledge and the history of economic analysis. She is also interested in questions related to socioeconomic transformation processes and structural change. At the GSC Marlies Schütz has worked on the following research projects: "Soziale and Wirtschaftliche Dynamik" and "Diffusion Processes in Economic Systems". Since July 2017 she has been involved in the research project on "How Smart Machines Transform the Austrian Economy" (smart). Several research articles were presented at international conferences and published in international refereed journals and books.
